The Relational Infrastructure Framework for Social Impact

A framework for understanding how relational and social conditions determine whether complex projects get off the ground, sustain momentum, and scale across people, teams, and systems.
Originally developed for social impact. Now being applied across healthcare innovation teams. Explore the framework, the assessment, the podcast, and the workshop below.

About the Work

The Framework

This is the core. Developed for both profit and nonprofit contexts, the Relational Infrastructure Framework for Social Impact is the original model and the source logic behind everything in this ecosystem.

It looks at how relational and social dynamics are embedded in complex projects before they begin and how those dynamics carry through as projects progress and scale — across teams, sectors, and regions.

It is publicly available for non-commercial use under CC BY-NC 4.0 — meaning anyone can read it, learn from it, and engage with its ideas.

Healthcare Innovation Assessment

Relational and social dynamics affect healthcare innovation projects the same way they affect every other complex project — except the stakes are often higher and the cost of friction is greater.

This assessment gives healthcare innovators a way to identify where those dynamics are likely to emerge and where they may introduce misalignment, loss of momentum, or costly delays before they do.

A no-cost assessment cohort is currently available for teams who want to work through it together.
