About Nick

Nick Norman

The son of two librarians, Nick grew up around books, information, and people whose work centered on helping others find and access knowledge. That environment encouraged a curiosity that rarely stayed within one subject, along with an interest in how different kinds of knowledge, people, and perspectives connect.

That curiosity has made Nick an interdisciplinarian at heart. He is especially drawn to projects that bring together disciplines, organizations, and communities when something new is being built, launched, expanded, or scaled. His strength is understanding the different sides involved and building the strategic relationships and communities needed to get those projects off the ground and help them grow.

Today, Nick brings that experience into speaking, workshops, and advisory work. He also writes for The Friction Point, where he shares strategies and explores questions around complex projects, relationships, community, and growth.
